The Thinking

What happens after we decide AI is capable.

Because increasingly, capability is not the difficult part. The difficult part is working out what the organisation should do with it.

As AI becomes easier to access, people who were once technology users are becoming builders. Agents can move from an experiment to part of a business process surprisingly quickly. The cost of AI can change with usage. Human oversight becomes less straightforward as autonomy increases. And something that looked valuable in a pilot can look quite different once the full cost and complexity of operating it are understood.

These are the questions I write about. They sit somewhere between technology, people, governance, economics and organisational design. Which is also why they are interesting.
